The lovely hosts are always trying to improve these already excellent cabins by adding more thoughtful details. I loved the skylight above the bed. Best light for reading. Drift off to sleep with the stars twinkling above you. Great Deeside walks just outside the front door. Perfect cosy place for two; I’d say fitting four in here might get a little cramped, especially if you’re going to leave 4 people’s luggage lying around randomly. Hot tub a nice feature. One commenter complained about not being able to use it in the rain, which, frankly, is weird. When you’re immersed in hot water, the rain can’t touch you. The hosts were extremely friendly, and, in my case, literally went that extra mile! Big thank you to Karl, Bess, and Stacey!

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Craggan is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Ballater, 16 km from Balmoral Castle. This bed and breakfast offers free private parking and full-day security. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. A beautiful place with wonderful hospitality. The views from the room were beautiful and the quality of the accomodation and the breakfast were the by far one of the best our trip.

The host, Dorothy, met on us on arrival and was exceptionally kind and friendly, with several recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the living room was very cozy. Highly recommend!

Would definitely recommend it. Perfect if you're looking for somewhere to base yourself. Going up ladder for top bed good for older kids.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful area, the hosts were very nice and even offered some breakfast items. You can do a nice walk through nature to the Nethy Bridge Hotel for dinner. But the best thing: a highland cow near the castle and the miniature donkeys you could watch from the porch :)
