The full board food was so good, made with love, and was fresh and the most tasty we have had in Suluwasei. A great romantic spot or family holiday. Accomodation was clean and comfortable with lovely views out over the lagoon. I completed my Advanced PADI dive cert here and the instructor was great fun and very reassuring. Largest turtles I’ve ever seen gliding around your and beautiful Eagle Rays. Much cheaper and easier to complete here than at home, with the coral reef on your doorstep. The location was pretty ideal as it’s out of the town centre but still very close, providing a quiet nights sleep and privacy. Nothing was an issue and they accommodated any requests including sourcing a specific beer from the mainland! We look forward to returning and wish them well in their business - highly recommended!

There is just one room, but it is much nicer than the rooms my friends rented next door which was twice the price. The location is excellent, practically right by the beach and close to a supermarket, and the food at the guesthouse is absolutely delicious, always freshly prepared. The rooms are clean and equipped with everything you need, including super comfortable beds! The jungle tours are also organized directly by the guesthouse, one at 6 a.m. and one at 4:30 p.m. We did both tours with Gian, who managed to find every animal we were hoping to see and explained so much about their way of life. Thank you so much, Gian, for this amazing experience! We also recommend taking a walk through the village down to the beach. Everyone was so kind to us and always wanted to strike up a conversation, which we really enjoyed. We will definitely keep recommending this guesthouse and are so glad we chose to stay here! Homestay in perfect location in the village. Boat transfers to/from mainland and boat tours were fabulous. Relaxed and quiet to enjoy the dolphins, turtles and corals.

Everyone and everything was great. There are two cottages located in a gorgeous garden setting. Lovely veranda to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and dramatic extinct volcano. The entire area is abundant in vegetation, both crops and forests. Everything seems to grow, probably because of the rich volcanic soil. Breakfast was included in the price but lunches and dinners were generous, inexpensive and carefully prepared by Marlyne, the wife of the host, Jan. We took an all day tour of the surrounding countryside, culminating in a swim in a small lake and sulfuric hot spa. Don’t forget to take in the amazing market in town. While some of it may look familiar to fellow travellers, other parts are unique to the region. Finally, if you’re lucky enough to be in town in early August, check to see if the flower festival and parade are on.
