Perfectly located near Atami, it's an ideal retreat. If I could, I'd give it more than 10 stars. Just perfect!

The property is a 8-minute walk from Takayama Nohi Bus Centre, where guests can take a bus to Shirakawa Village. The guest house is well located at Takayama. Temperature inside was perfect for winter. Facilites are perfect and the manager explained everything at my arrival.

I loved everything about this hotel from our beautiful bedroom facing the lake; the kimonos offered to us that they encouraged you to wear throughout the hotel; the buffet food that was offered for happy hour was plentiful and so delicious. We used their laundry facilities and the staff were kind enough to show us how to operate it; it was a little different than what we had ever used. They also helped us arrange the bus ride and train ride to Nagoya which we really appreciated. I would stay there again when visiting Japan, simply perfect.

Absolutely amazing stay with views to the lake and the mt Fuji. The staff was welcoming and extremely nice. They accomodated any needs we had and I am sure they are capable of more. We were able to borrow bikes and enjoyed the ride around the lake. The room is bright and beautiful. The onsen has fantastic views for the perfect sunset.

Very nice ryokan managed by very nice people. The location is the best of all in Nagano, nearly in front of the Zenkoji temple. If you wish to try a Ryokan, which is something very different from a western style hotel and refreshing in many ways, just book it!
