The house is also within walking distance from Kenroku-en, Kanazawa castle and all main attractions in Kanazawa. Would have loved to stay a few days more!

Host picked us up at the station during a rain and provided umbrellas so we can start our walk till check in time. Plenty of drinks offered and a very delicious nespresso. Communication was excellent. We would stay again and recommend to others.

Michio was great to do airport pick up and take us to pick up bags at Yamato. He also explained everything about the house and showed us the neighbourhood on a map. The house had great facilities, loved the bath and the yukatas were nice to wear. My favourite part was the garden which was so peaceful and lovely lit up at night. Great amentities in kitchen for cooking and everything was spotlessly clean. The house was very warm and comfortable overall. Super central in Kanazawa, we were able to walk to Kanazawa Castle Park and Higashi Chaya District and the train station quiet easily and it was very close to Omicho market.

This was our favourite accommodation of the whole trip! Walking through the front door of the unassuming facade you are truly transported to a different time and culture. Hitty was a wonderful host and we felt so honoured to be trusted with his family's treasures and loved the stories and history that he took the time to tell us. Hitty was very helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do, and his wife had created the most beautiful ikebana for us. The location was great with easy access to the train station, restaurants and the all important konbini.
