The staff were so wonderful and went above and beyond to look after guests and the rooms and shared spaces are beautifully styled and really comfortable. I spent a lot of time on the rooftop enjoying the view. I had 3 fans in my room which was great as I didn't get any of the cool breeze that came through the upper floors at night (I was on the lowest guest floor and facing another building).

Kijani Hotel is located in Shela Village, just 3 km from Lamu Old Town and 4 km from Manda Airport. Takwa Prehistoric Site is 10 km away on Manda Island. Location right on the water, Swahili decor, great staff and wonderful food. I have come here 5+ times! And I will be back!

We spent 3 nights in the house with all the comforts and the incredible kindness and closeness of Fadir. He gave us many recommendations like the guide Abu who show us around very professionally and close, everything was in detail. We also thank the cook Barak who came to make us breakfast and dinner, it was incredible! If we ever come back to Lamu we will come back to Umma. Asante sana!

A simple request to shiban house to make it feel special, ended up being the best birthday surprise ever...Sada thank you, my heart is overwhelmed by how you managed to surprise me 😊. Joseph took excellent care of us and was ready to help us around. I must say, I feel fulfilled even as I have turned a year younger 😂😊😂. Thank you mapenzi too for the awesome breakfast we got every day.

There is a great restaurant next door With delicious food and you can always pop over to Sheila (5 min boat ride) for some activity if you feel too quiet on the island 🏝️ 👍

With pool views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Each room is equipped with a patio with city views. This house is amazing, love the traditional decor and feel. The room was really big and spacious, fitted with fans to cool the room and Safari was really helpful with everything. I would 100% come back to stay here. The food was also really amazing thank you!

It is located 700 metres from Gallery Baraka and offers luggage storage space. The guest house features family rooms. Katana my host at Samaki House was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable of the area. We had lovely conversations and he made a delicious breakfast. I enjoyed the room and the my overall experience at the house, I will definitely stay again!

There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. The bed and breakfast has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. There was a problem with the electricity (or AC) in the building when we arrived, but a new place closeby was quickly arranged for us. Other issues we encountered in the new place were quickly addressed as well.
