Expect a private entrance, a terrace overlooking nature only, a comfortable bed and an extensive delicious breakfast. We would stay here again. The hosts are so welcoming, it was hard to leave!! It’s 8 min out of town, very quiet and perfectly accessible by tuktuk (host helps you arrange whenever you need) and scooter. Ella is quite easy to rent a scooter, which will give you all flexibility.

The room is spotless clean, with a very comfy bed, good pillows and sheet, the fluffiest bathtowels ever + a big bathroom (a Quality hairdryer available). It's a short 8 minute tuktuk ride to the center of Ella, but we walked it in about 35 minutes. Close to the starting Point of the hike to Little Adam's Peak & 9 Arches Bridge. They are decorating a 2nd room which will be finished soon but right now it's 2 guests only, so we had the place to ourselves. The owners live downstairs and are so happy & quick to help with everything. Hope to be back soon!

Staying at Star Gaze Lodge was the highlight of our trip to Ella. We were in awe by the property location, the amazing sunrises and the great breakfasts on the balcony. What topped it, was the incredible welcome and treatment by the hosts. I have been traveling a lot and the team at StarGaze is great at what they do. They also helped us getting from Mirissa to Ella and booked us a car using their network of vendors. I definitely recommend a stay.

Short distance to city center, easy to get to by TukTuk. Quiet and clean. The rooms and bathrooms have a good size. Nice little pool to cool down and have a break. The owner is very friendly and helpful in all kind of things and comes with good tips for day activities and places to go/to eat. We had some fantastic days and can highly recommend this place.

The guest house provides mountain views, a picnic area and a 24-hour front desk. This is where you stay if you want the best view possible of Ella. It’s simply amazing!!!!! Our balcony (from the top apartment) faced this glorious view and it was more beauty than one could take in! The room was spacious, clean, very comfortable and new. Everything needed is there including a small fridge and sitting area. Shower was great with hot water. Breakfast patio facing the glorious view - serving great breakfast. Bed was big and comfortable. Service was perfect. And the quiet was lovely with only jungle noises. Also on a clear night the sky was full of stars and on a clear morning the sunrise was incredible (we felt no need to climb at sunrise given the balcony view.) A rare find in Sri Lanka, truly a gem.

It was the penultimate stop on my trip to Sri Lanka and, of course, one of the most memorable. I am absolutely delighted. I will remember this place for many years thanks to the kind, friendly and caring monks and staff, comfortable rooms, peace, quiet and, of course, the opening landscapes. Such beauty around - it cannot be described. You have to see it. My expectations from staying at Meditation Monastery Stay were met 1000%. If you have the opportunity, be sure to come to Meditation Monastery Stay! I am very grateful to all the staff of Meditation Monastery Stay for their hospitality. Delicious breakfasts, beautiful, well-kept territory! Thank you, I will try to come back. p.s. As it was written before me, the easiest way to get there is from the station along the railway tracks. Unless of course you have suitcases. At first I decided to take the detour and that was a mistake. I chose a room with a terrace. While observing nature you can see and hear many different birds, giant squirrels and of course chipmunks

Great location 8 min walk into busy town and its hidden away where it’s quieter. Great terrace overlooking a stunning view. Super close to attractions like Adams peak and nine arch bridge aswell. The lovely man running this place took such good care of us , loved a chat , brought us Sri Lankan snacks and made us such a great (huge) breakfast every morning. Hoppers and coconut roti so yum! Room feels fancy 5 star hotel , comfy bed , hot water from shower. Great price Definitely can’t recommend this place enough if you’re in Ella ❤️🙏
