We liked the location, spaciousness of the home and comfortable beds. There weren’t any directions in the apartment for the WiFi or how to access the pool or billiard table but the host responded quickly to all of our questions. The host also arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport. There are not many pots and pans in the kitchen but that was fine for us because we didn’t do much cooking. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood and there are many wonderful restaurants. We also appreciated the front desk security officers, which made us feel safe and secure. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely go back again. Thank you Juan!

The location is great! You’re close to everything central to Barranco. You’re staying above Augusto’s home so I felt very secure/safe. You get keys so you can come and go as you please. The place is spacious and has everything you need. I didn’t mind not having a kitchen—the fridge and microwave and water kettle are more than some other places. There was also a heater in each room which was appreciated as someone who runs cold and a hair dryer in the bathroom! The shower got hot quick. The breakfast was great. Augusto is a wonderful host, prompt to reply to messages and kind. He helped me with my heavy bag up and down the stairs. I will absolutely look to stay here again if I’m ever in Lima—and recommend it to folks coming. I stayed at a hotel in Miraflores when I first arrived and El Refugio was much better.
