Livadhi is a nice guesthouse in the middle of the “beach”, it has a nice family vibe to it (but we saw all Linda of travellers there). The rooms are really good and clean, with comfortable beds, and were ready when our boat arrived. The guesthouse went above and beyond to organise the trip for our family, including a car pick up from our hotel outside of shkoder, right to the bus and the boat, and back the same way. Thank you so much for this!! At the guesthouse, maurizio took very good care of our family and also made sure we got safely on the boat back (important, since they don’t leave very frequently). It’s touristy at shala river, true. But it’s also a breathtakingly beautiful setting with pristine clear and very cold mountain water. If it weren’t this organised, we wouldn’t have been able to come with our three kids.

Location is a must to stay overnight. The family holding the guesthouse are looking after all your needs and cooking great food at decent prices. The bed is crazy confortable. The guesthouse is very new.

Very clean room with comfortable bed and balcony looking to the Shala river. The location is amazing, right in the middle of nature, peaceful and quiet. Owners are very kind and always ready to help. Food is homemade with fresh local products, really delicious. Perfect place to relax and also feel a bit of adventure.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, great food and just overall a very lovely place, located right by the calm river bed. Great for a refreshing swim in the warm hours. After being in Albania for two weeks, it was also nice to be in a place, were the music was low and fitted the ambience. We would definitely come back and most definitely would recommend this beautiful place!

The location & view were absolutely fantastic! could have looked at it for hours! the people were also very nice! The food was delicious (especially the freshy caught river fish!!) and they were very thoughtful to bring us some popcorn when they noticed that we were playing some games on the terrace. We stayed in May and therefore we were lucky to be the only ones, this way we could go with the boat for a trip any time we wanted. They took us to a cave with a waterfall and a stone beach all for free! :)

Hosts were great, and very accomodating. There in middle of april and there were no crowds in Shala River, host was very helpful with helping to plan our trip around Albania. Food was also great.

I had a wonderful time at this mountain hotel by the river. The sound of the flowing water was incredibly soothing, and the fresh mountain air made me feel completely relaxed. The staff were friendly, and my room had a stunning view. I would definitely come back!

Really relaxing stay just what we wanted. Great peaceful view from the room balcony and noise free windows. Staff were friendly and not annoyingly helpful. You can rent kayaks, swim (in life jackets which seems odd in the beginning but feels good in the water). We liked timing of ferries and arrangements of transfer from/to Tirana. Various options for lunch and dinner.
