Fresh cake on arrival and fresh produce from the garden even though it was winter - kiwi fruit, lemons, passion fruit … and we were invited to help ourselves if we needed spinach, herbs - anything that was in season basically. On site hosts were welcoming and helpful - but not invasive. Stacks of firewood for the wood burning stove. Host went the extra mile making up some cake bread and leaving some fresh apples. Checking in was easy and straight forward which was great because we arrived so late.
