Great country home in a lovely rural area. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Our two small dogs loved the very large fenced yard. We had a lovely stay.

We absolutely loved it. The fresh loaf of bread, the air conditioning on arrival from a scorching drive and the candy canes, etc, added so much warmth in the lovely stay. Not forgetting Armin and Poppy's welcome and company too! We will certainly miss this place, an unforgettable place for sure. Thanks Jo and Carlos for being such great host!

Amazing spacious house located just minutes from Romsey and Lancefield. It accommodated 8 Audults comfortably. The property is on a farm with plenty of privacy and great for a quite getaway with friends or family. Nick the host was great to talk to and made communication very easy. Everything is provided, even some goodies in the pantry and fridge. Will definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Walking distance to excellent meals at the Lancefield hotel and the Lost Waterhole Brewery. Enjoyed our coffees and purchases at The Providor down town, especially the Walnut Sour Dough. The cottage had everything we needed, with thoughtful touches such as eggs in the fridge and a local red wine on the counter. The bed was super comfy . Very peaceful sitting on the verandah watching the birds flit through the garden, and sheep grazing over the road.

I stayed for one night so I could revisit Hanging Rock and participate at Campaspe parkrun the following day. I really enjoyed my stay. Islay house is about 5-10 mins walk from Woodend station. Very close to the town centre and right across the road from Campaspe parkrun. I was made to feel very welcome. Tarni and Clive are really nice and friendly and I really enjoyed their company. I was especially grateful to Tarni for offering to take me to the rock and picking me up later. I didn't expect it. Not many people would do that. It was such a nice gesture, and I really appreciated it. The property is really clean and comfortable. In fact, I had the best night's sleep throughout my time in Australia when I stayed here. The blue room was a lovely room to stay in, spotless and spacious. I had a good breakfast the following morning at a time, which suited me. I could have easily stayed for longer, and I do hope to go back again at some point. I was very happy with my decision to come here. It was perfect for what I was looking for and if you're planning to visit woodend, this is the place to come. Highly recommended!!

The cottage was bright, airy and comfortable. 5 people were easily able to have private and communal space. I was impressed by environmentally friendly touches like the readily available recycling bins and the compost bin in the kitchen and the refillable containers in the bathroom and kitchen. My step daughter and I also thought the black face cloth for removing make-up was an excellent option - no more guilt about leaving foundation ona white cloth! Nat was very helpful in the lead up to the day of check in and upon our arrival. Highly recommend The Dickins!
