We decided to stay within a short drive of Turnhout in quiet surrounds. B&B Tantine is a gem, the property is surrounded by stunning, peaceful gardens, everyting is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. The centre of Retie is nearby Our room overlooked the garden, room was compact and well appointed with comfortable beds. Internet worked well. Breakfast is delicious and included eggs and bacon if desired, we especially enjoyed the locally made apple juice with lemon and ginger. The dining area is beautiful and I also enjoyed reading outdoors in the garden. The owners who hosted us were gracious and friendly. We noticed many people cycling in the area and this would be a perfect location to explore the area. I wish we could have stayed for more than 2 nights.

We have stayed here before,17 yrs ago, and the hosts were as helpful and pleasant as ever. Always happy to help and the breakfasts were always tremendous ,from croque Monsieur, eggy bread, something different every morning, homemade yoghurt and homemade jams. Best way to start your day.

    The place is perfect. It's well-located with nearby lunch options, though we opted to cook all our meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The backyard is an ideal spot to relax outdoors and enjoy games of darts or table football in the mini-bar room. The host was very accommodating and punctual with the key drop-off.
