The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful from check-in to check-out. They held our bag while we explored the city and provided several maps and recommendations. There is a bar within the hotel open until 11pm, however, we did not utilize it, but it is a plus! The room was spotless; they even provided slippers and a water bottle.

the hotel was very beautiful and clean. good location too, only 20 min by bus to the city center, bus station was just 3 min walking from the hotel, or 15 min by car. breakfast was amazing! we really enjoyed our stay there and we would definitely recommend this hotel!

This property is located in a cozy area, perfect locality, bus stop just few meters away. The host is super nice and caring, she even made me a toasts in the morning which was not included in my reservation! House has a style and you can feel that there is classy person behind the designing, oh and everything smells super nice. I would recommend Efes Home for everybody, seeking great price quality ratio and a nice peaceful location with an extraordinary host.

    Excellent location. Within easy 15 minute walk into the centre of the town and within 10 minutes walk to T1 T3 tram stop. Room was comfortable. Shower was spacious and bathroom spotless. As mentioned in other reviews, great selection for breakfast. We stayed for four days so dealt with several members of staff from reception, at breakfast and throughout the hotel and all were exceptionally helpful and nice.

    The hotel was very clean and modern. It appeared to be quite new. The rooms were ideal for us with a nice bathroom and good shower. The beds were comfortable too. The hotel's location is excellent being 5 minutes walk from the centre of Gent but was still quiet at night.

    Ibis budget is great for a cheaper stay, approx 20mins walk to centre, only 2mins from Gent-Damport so ideal for train. Rooms are very new and clean but as expected and known prior to booking the rooms are basic: it can feel a bit empty in the room although if its just a base for sleep it has everything you need. Good selection of food and drink at reception/bar.

    Staying at 1898 is a unique experience. It is not just a hotel, it brings you the sense of another century. The hotel, rooms, even the corridors were atmospheric. Room was very clean. The location by the bridge, couldn't be better. The bed linen and towels were the softest we have ever seen. Top quality in every detail. Ghent is an ideal location for a romantic weekend and 1989 Post is the best place to stay.
