We went for hiking nearby, so we wanted a hotel that is comfortable but not fancy because we will only sleep there. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and quiet, meeting all our need. Staffs are very friendly. Restaurant was great. Food are quite nice. They seem to specialize on cordon bleu because one third of the menu is dedicated to different variation of cordon bleu (made my partner very happy).

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Gilbert's place! The apartment was immaculate and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. close to the cable car station..maybe a little too close, as I could hear it operating from early in the morning and its a bit of a contrast with the silence of this mountain village (that was what i was looking for) room with lovely terrace with hamac; clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff that gave me good indications as to the nicest viewpoint of Aletsch, and delicious raclette at their restaurant Aletsch Arena-an exceptionally educative site showing right there under your eyes the effects of the global warming and also showing you some Swiss engineering genius-they built here in 2015 a "floating"cable car station able "swim "along with the moving terrain (the rocks are moving due to glacier melting) VERY INTERESTING! bring your kids ,this will stay printed in their minds forever
