The staff where so warm and welcoming and helpful, great restaurant recommendations and helped us organise a driver at very short notice. The view from our room was awesome - looking over the old roofs of the city to the city walls.

Everything was so excellent😊😊😊. The place is very convinient to the old city only by walking. It is also easy to get taxi and not far from the train stations. The host was very friendly and helpful. She tried to speak with me in both English abd Chinese so i can practise my Chinese.😊 Im happy to find such a good place for my trip.😊

I really made the right choice with this homestay in Pingyao! The location is absolutely a hidden gem—just a two-minute walk gets you to Rishengchang Bank, so there’s no need to get up early to soak in the Jin merchant culture. It’s super convenient to head back for a break after visiting the attractions. What’s more, the surrounding area is bustling with life. When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!

Lovely traditional courtyard guest house. Lee collected us from the train station which was very helpful and arranged a return taxi for us. Communication with Lee was great and he was very helpful. Pingyao is an incredible place to visit.

Everything about it was amazing. First of all, location is absolutly perfect, right in the center of the old town, right next to the crossing of the two main steets. And despite that, we were well isolated from the noise in the evening. The room was very cosy, located at the back of a traditional courtyard. It was spotless and looked great. We even received a lovely little carpackage with local specialities. And last but not least, the personnel was extremely kind and accomodating. Alice gave us all the tips and information on how best to visit Pingyao and helped us with reservations and ticket purchasing, etc…

There are many French people staying here. The staff here are very enthusiastic and keep saying hello, leaving a very good impression on us. The room is very distinctive, the hygiene is clean, the facilities are good, and the hot water is sufficient! It's very comfortable to sleep. The hotel is strategically located on the main street, which is very convenient. There are scenic spots, restaurants and ticket offices at the door. We like it very much. We will come again.
