The property is beautifully nestled along a bubbling brook, close to lake Arenal with an easy drive to Liberia airport and all the hiking and activities near LaFortuna. Trent was a great host with great recos on places to eat nearby. (Gingerbread House is a must for dinner!) . Nice pool and amazing landscaping. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Great coffee, fresh orange juice and fresh fruit. eggs, meat. etc. highly recommend!

A perfect place to relax and enjoy the true pura vida of Costa Rica. The view is stunning, and all you can hear is the sound of nature, especially the birds singing. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the space is cozy and very well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and different every day – a lovely surprise! There are several good restaurants, supermarkets, and gas stations nearby, which is very convenient. Carole and Paul were outstanding hosts, always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. It was an amazing stay in every way!

A beautiful compact villa with a wonderful view over the lake. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a nice garden. It's close enough to all the attractions of Arenal (we enjoyed hanging bridges, Zipline, kayak, hiking and watching the local fauna) as well as supermarkets, restaurants and cafés. At the same time it is in a quiet area, so we could thoroughly enjoy the stay with our family. The owner is very nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

Lovely room that was nice and cool even without A/C. Super clean. Amazing views over the roofs to the west so great sunsets from the balcony. Clean and well equipped kitchen. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and enjoyed the food a lot.

The grounds of the lodge are fabulous. There is plenty to explore, with an orchid garden and the Ceiba Tree overlooking the property. The breakfast was really nicely done, with a fabulous set-up of the flowers hanging down from the roof of the place. Also overlooking the Lake Arenal, and a feeding station for birds. Fresh coffee brewed the original way at the table. We also got our laundry done by the hosts, which was really handy, great value and done with more care than dedicated businesses for it. We paid extra for the room with a terrace, and it was worth that for the view and sitting out.

    Beautiful property in ideal jungle location. Quiet, relaxing and tranquil. Good location with many attractions within a short drive. Breakfasts were fantastic - fresh fruit, juice, eggs, pancakes and bacon, not to mention endless Costa Rican coffee. Staff were all fantastic.

    Carlos's house is a gem as well as the host himself. A real homestay, tastefully furnished. His brekkies are real French cusine, never twice the same. Evenings at the balcony, or the morning bird visits are beautiful. Spaceusness, spotless cleanness. Ideal locaton if you wish to access Arenal, Monteverde and maybe Tenorio/Rio Celeste from one base. Good day trip ideas we got. The eateries Carlos recommends also are very good.
