Staff / direction very friendly and welcoming. Helped carrying luggage to room (2 stairs), we have not seen such kind service for a very long time. Got a dinner table although we did not reserve. Excellent dinner, friendly service, Breakfast also very good. Location is excellent, very quiet. We'll be back !

I've had an absolutely fantastic stay here! The staff went above and beyond, and exceeded all expectations: they were kind enough to inform guests about possible road/transport closures way in advance, and kindly warmed up my very own meals. The place itself is straight from a fairy tale, being located in a mansion in a picturesque and peaceful part of the city, you cannot believe, you are a few stations away from the rustle and bustle of Hamburg. Yes, it is not very central, but if you ended up here, you probably know it already. Comfortable beds, huge bathroom. You get access to hot water/tea and there's always fresh fruit on offer. The rooms on top floors have an adjacent balcony, which is an absolute blast, especially in good weather.

    We really enjoyed our 3 nights here. The location is great for exploring historic villages or catching a ferry to Hamburg. The garden is amazing and the view of the river is so interesting with its huge tide changes. The supply of breakfast food and drinks was generous and most appreciated by us. Our host was very welcoming and helpful with information and made us feel right at home

    Nice location, supermarkt and stores are close by. Quiet, however the workers started the working day early and noise started at 8 am. We got an upgrade upfront to compensate it
