Very quiet countryside location. Quaint bucolic setting. The owner keeps horses across the street. The owner couple could not have been more friendly and accommodating during our entire stay. Breakfast was a typical affair with fresh bread and Brötchen, eggs some healthy meats and cheese. Granola, homemade jams etc. Our room had a fridge, hotplate, cutlery and a few dishes. Very typical Northern Germany/Schleswig Holstein, yet 45 min from the airport or downtown Hamburg. Hiking loops wonderful. Nearby Gut Basthorst is a nice place for dinner, lunch or Kaffee und Kuchen. We stayed for 4 nights attending a weeding, it was all very relaxing. Also appreciated the availability to charge my electric car rental on site (50c/kWh). Two thumbs up!

It was near a train station in Poppenbüttel so we could take an S-train into the city. Room was very spacious and nice and the Bathroom was great. Christina was great. Very friendly and helpful.
