First off, the hotel lobby is beautiful! Sitting by the pool was also lovely, and the staff were fantastic. I had some unexpected business that came up, and they were able to print some documents for me without a problem. The room was comfortable and the bathroom had a bathtub and shower which was appreciated. The room was cleaned dutifully daily, and the bed was very comfortable. The 10 minute walk to transit in the morning was beautiful and felt safe, and the nearby shops were great for purchasing our own breakfast foods (hotel breakfast looked costly). We wanted to spend most of our time in Bilbao, and we did not feel like we missed out by staying in Barakaldo thanks to the metro proximity.

You could feel the special nature of this property and surrounding land as you enter. The garden is absolutely magical, and I read under a tree for hours. There are so many flowers and fruit bearing trees. The family who lives there are so wonderful and kind. You really feel like you are at home.
