Nice guesthouse in a quiet village, in a good location to explore a very beautiful part of cantabria. Nice breakfast and evening food available if you book the day before(the food was excellent). The hosts Rosalia and Carlos were really great. We had vehicle trouble and they went out of their way to make sure we were able to get back to catch our ferry, even offering to drive us to Santander. I really can’t thank them enough.

this village is one of the most beautiful ones i have ever visited in my life. we were lucky having a short storm in the evening, it was nice watching the lightnings from above. food was okay. parking "downstairs", but no problem for us.

    It's a beautiful property, in a beautiful place, managed by a very thoughtful owner. He pointed out restaurants nearby, helped when we needed, told us about the nature and animals of the region, and so on. The bedroom was huge, the bathroom had window ceilings where we could see the mountains and eagles, it was very nice! It's a very strategic location to get to know the region

    We had a really enjoyable stay at La Gandara. The hotel is very pretty, set in a tiny village in a stunning location. Javier was very welcoming and informative. We stayed in October with very hot days cooling a little in the evening when we were very happy to sit in front of a log fire. Breakfast and dinner were both included, with set menus, different each day, simple and delicious. This is a wonderful place to stay and we hope to return.

    Pretty location and a friendly owner. Small but fully equipped kitchen area in the room for self catering. Microwave, kettle, hob, pots, crockery and cutlery.
