If you like places with real character, history, and beauty, this one’s a must. Casa de Doña Concha isn’t just somewhere to sleep, it’s a true experience in the heart of the Alpujarra. The house is absolutely gorgeous, full of charm, and keeps the soul of a classic Ugíjar casa señorial. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, super comfy beds, and a kitchen with everything you could need. The pool was perfect for cooling off and watching the sunset, and the patio terrace made the best spot for dinner and a couple of glasses of wine. Simply idyllic!

Supberb host, ebullient, generous to a fault and delightfully quixotic. A dreamer and a poet, impossible not to like. The view across the mountains is beautiful at sunset and sunrise. The host also provided a small amount of authentic breakfast. The facilities has everything you need, but expect the unexpected. If you like an adventure, something out of the normal tourist trap and are willing to lower your expectations, this could be an experience you will never forget. Take a chance.

Friendly, helpful hosts. Very safe for our 2 bicycles. Clean, Comfortable and everything we needed to prepare our own food. Beautiful location, 15 minute walk to the stunning Old Town and lots of local walks along the river side. We really enjoyed our very peaceful, restful stay here. Oh and clear starlit sky too! Mercedes is a fantastic host. She began looking after us even before we arrived. What a lovely lady. She made us feel very welcome to this beautiful and clean home. Easy to find and the secure parking was great. We asked for dinner and we were treated to a delicious and very reasonably priced 3 course meal. The house and decor is amazing. The shared bathroom appears to be new. Great big shower with lots of hot water. Living areas are very tasteful. It has a grandness about it. The artwork is great. We shall go and visit the artist! Mercedes told us of many things to do.. she’s a great tour guide. The many kittens were an added bonus!

Wow! Our three night stay at the beautiful self catering property in rural Valor was wonderful. Spotlessly clean, the lovely self-catering house had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. What's special here? - Stunning views of the miles and miles of the mesmerising Sierra Nevada. - A gorgeous swimming pool. A good size with a personal feel. - Fresh figs on the trees which Manuel allowed us to pluck and eat. - Quiet and secluded with a lovely outdoor dining/bbq area in addition to your own private balcony. - Secure parking and direct access to your property with your car to make life easier. A hidden gem with fantastic views. It was so tranquil. The staff were very pleasant and the accommodation very comfortable and very clean. The breakfasts were great, a lovely selection. I can recommend the hot stone massage, it was amazing and the spa very relaxing.
