This was a delightful place for a stopover on our way south. Patricia looked after us beautifully. The room was lovely - clean, bright, airy and comfortable. The added bonus of having a swimming pool was much appreciated after a long drive. Breakfast was wonderful - lots of fresh fruit included. We were able to walk to a restaurant, recommended by Patricia, for dinner - 3 courses for 25€ each and superb quality. We loved the Boule d'Or !

This is a hidden gem. If you're looking for a serene, peaceful, and exquisite place to stay, surrounded by nature and fresh air, this is the perfect spot. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need, combining authentic historical surroundings with modern, high-quality finishes. The cottage was spacious, light & comfortable. The garden was lovely to walk around. We could have used the pool, but didn't. There was the offer of breakfast & evening meals, but the self catering enabled is to prepare our own. Eggs were available to buy from their own hens. Outside seating was perfect for just chilling. We were also pleased that we were able to watch Netflix as we relaxed with a glass of wine. It's definitely somewhere we would come back to.☺️🩷

Everything! Patrick, the host and owner of the property is my new friend! He was welcoming and friendly despite my limited French! Property is ideally located in Condeon directly opposite the only bar and restaurant. On site parking. Apartment is an entire floor above Patrick's house accessed by what is quite a steep set of stairs so beware. However, it has 3 spacious bedrooms, kitchen and seating area with TV, Hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge with freezer shelf so completely self contained. All spotlessly clean and tidy. Quirky floor adds to the warm and welcoming feeling. Outside seating area with access to fridge and food prep area again add to the welcoming feel. Merci Beacoup Patrick!

    This is a Relais hotel aimed at truck drivers. However it's in an ideal location for me as I drive through France and Spain. The hotel rooms are quite basic but clean and functional. There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel which does a good evening meal with beer or wine. Breakfast is good value too but a little basic - coffee, orange juice and croissant and bread roll with butter and jam. It's a 25 minute walk to the village of Barbezieux which has some bars and restaurants.

    Perfect stopover on our journey South as just off the N10. Spotlessly clean room, excellent shower and comfortable bed. Good evening meal with buffet starters and choice of several mains. Excellent breakfast. Token system for wine - a new one for us but wine perfectly acceptable. No road noise and air conditioning an absolute godsend as we were travelling in a heatwave. The restaurant was busy and pleasant..

    Great value on our route through France to Spain. The village was about 20 mins walk away. Loved the evening meal including wine. Mainly for truckers but that was fine by us. Just needed cheap and cheerful and it was.
