Everything was absolutely brilliant. The most beautiful home to stay in and the hosts were exceptional. It was like staying in the best dressed show home you could imagine, everything was prestine. Great location for visiting the nearby La Vallee des Singes.

The house is on 3 intriguing levels ,the rooms are characterful and spacious, retaining an authentic feel , with polished wood floors, fresh linens, generous towels; the luxurious bathrooms are a haven for pampering. .The garden room and lawned courtyard are perfect to enjoy summer morning breakfast or summer evening relaxation.The fully equipped kitchen and dining room is available for guests to use so you can make use of the vibrant ,twice- weekly market with every kind of fresh produce available and other nearby stores.There is a great choice of cafes ,bars and good restaurants ,patisseries, a swimming pool, within a short stroll away. too .I hope I have a chance to stay again before this exceptional B&B , located close to a picturesque bridge crossing the Charente, finds new owners to carry on the hospitable welcoming of its guests through its delightful solid oak doors!

I can’t rave enough about our experience at this property. Dawn and Chris’s attention to detail was incredible - from the thoughtful and thorough check in to the beautiful breakfast basket delivered to our room. The room itself was very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The yard and grounds really made this stay above and beyond - the alpacas are so cute and there’s plenty of lovely places to walk. Highly recommend as a stop after a long drive, or even as a destination in and of itself!

Absolutely the best hosts we have come across. Very clean and good value for money. Lovely thick towels and facecloths. They cooked us a really lovely meal as most places were closed in Ruffec.

    Nestled in tranquillity, our stay at this serene location was simply delightful. The hosts, fellow Brits, greeted us with warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home. The charming puppy, brimming with energy, added an extra layer of joy to our mornings as he came to say hello and play with his ball. The kitchenette had everything we needed, the beds were really comfy, and the bathroom was nice.
