Very nice estate. The main house has character and a tasteful and high-quality interior. The large well-equipped kitchen and the large dining tables in the house as well as in the garden allow all guests to cook and enjoy together in a stylish and private atmosphere. The park and surroundings are well maintained with great emphasis on ecology and the promotion of biodiversity, which I greatly appreciate.

The property is very spacious and has been beautifully furnished with an extremely large and comfortable bed. This is a beautifully presented place with everything laid out with style. The hostesses were very welcoming and friendly and could not have done more for us. A huge, comfortable bed and a lovely breakfast. Highly recommended and worth a detour to stay here

Me and my girlfriend stayed at 1855 for five nights and had the most wonderful stay with Pierre-Marc and his wife Lola in the Dorgdone. First of all the farm-house is exceptionally beautiful Each room within it furnished to a very high-spec, with very comfortable beds and crucially has great aircon - a rarity. The pool is one of the nicest we have swam in and is surrounded by beautiful scenery and has excellent sun loungers.  Each day is punctuated by morning yoga (free), taught onsite by the wonderful Julie, and Lola's cooking - which is the best in the local area. Breakfast is a multi course selection of fresh fruit, yogurts and freshly cooked dishes such as french toast. The evening meal is three courses of modern twists on traditional french food, such as duck breast or an avocado tatar. All of the dishes we tried were immensely delicious and among the best food we had in our holiday.  Normally you wouldn't bother with onsite food if you were staying in a hotel, but the experience here is quite different and well worth doing. The quality is immensely high plus the social experience with other guests alongside Marc-Pierre and Lola is a great addition. You get welcomed in as one of the family and each evening is truly memorable and more like staying with friends rather than hotel or Airbnb.  We can't recommend staying here enough and will be back next year.

The location is superb, a small green paradise, the rooms are large and spacious, the kitchen is very well equipped, the furniture is a perfect combination of classic and modern romantic, the pool and the garden are very well maintained. For those who are looking for maximum peace and relaxation and who travel with a pet, it is the perfect place. You can take walks and hikes in nature and the places to visit are easily accessible by car and are worth visiting. The owners are extremely friendly and concerned that all the wishes of the guests are fulfilled. Alain and his family are the perfect hosts who do not bother you but at the same time are always available to answer any question or request and can give you useful tips for what is worth discovering in this gorgeous area of the earth. We will definitely be back and recommend this location and wonderful experience to everyone. Thanks for a perfect and wonderful stay.

    We self catered but anything we needed was provided immediately. The location was very quiet and ideal for a holiday. the nearest village was five miles away, which was ideal.
