A quirky Chateau style hotel. Lovely homely feel, which may not appeal to everyone, but we loved it. Our host was super friendly and dinner was either meat or fish. We all went for meat and it was a beautifully cooked steak. Lots of wine. Communal dining and breakfast, which was great fun. Loads of space for dogs to exercise. The hotel had a few friendly dogs wandering around and horses in the adjacent fields.

Breakfast was great, with an ample selection of bread, pastries, cheese as well as homemade preserves The grounds were lush and peaceful, great place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or read a good book. Our dogs were welcome, and the location was perfect to enjoy a walk with them.

    Fabulous old chateau with lots of original features but clean and comfortable too Large bedroom and attached bathroom. Plenty of hot water Breakfast was tasty and plentiful sat at one long table with other guests Great welcome from our host who was charming and friendly and showed us where to make a drink even though it was very late when we arrived About 40 minutes from Deippe ferry ideal overnight stop
