Staying in this historic Abbey with its enormous garden was truly exceptional. The room was newly renovated, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Marine, the owner, was charming, and her two assistants, Patrick and Valerie, were knowledgeable, kind and most helpful. It was a pity that only one night was available, but Marine kindly arranged suitable accommodation for the rest of our stay. We hope to return and stay for a longer period.

An excellent stay in a spotless little house. The host had provided a cot and bath for our baby daughter without any extra charge. The house was very clean, had everything you need for a short stay. On-street parking was easy. The shower was large and had a nice massage option. Highly recommended stay!

Perfect hosts, room really big and furnished with great elegance. Comfortable and quiet. Spend couple of days cycling and walking (Beach). Perfect to unwind. Breakfast great and presented in nice French style. Cats and dogs give the house a lovely warm feel.

Unexpected. And Wonderful. This is a very unique place to stay. The hotel itself is in a building from the 1500’s and is part of an estate that the owner has been meticulously refurbishing. He and his wife are both very interesting people. They also have a wonderful Burnese Mountain dog. The building/hotel owner is an admitted enthusiast of WWII history. During war the building served as the headquarters for a German general and, after D-Day, for General James Lawton Collins. Part of the building now houses a very unique military museum (https://www.tripadvisor.ie/Attraction_Review-g608795-d25576850-Reviews-D_DAY_Collins_Museum-Sainte_Mere_Eglise_Manche_Basse_Normandie_Normandy.html). The bedrooms have all been recently decorated and are beautiful. Each room is named after a WWII general (Eisenhower, Bradley, Collins, etc.) Breakfast was terrific.

Cottage des Mézières was perfect! The single room was clean and comfortable, as was the large bathroom. Oliver prepared breakfast for me, his own jams were a real highlight. I liked the location, not being far from Granville, and it was nice and quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
