The staff were wonderful especially Eric who supervises everything and for whom nothing is too much trouble. It's convenient that there is a parking garage nearby and staff meet you on the main road to help with luggage and finding the garage. The rooms are charming, very good bed linen.

My stay here was absolutely perfect. Franck and Nellie were superb hosts and absolutely charming people. The location is in beautiful natural surroundings, very close to the train station, and still very close to Sarlat. The room was impeccable and very comfortable with the bonus of having a TV with Netfix. If you want to watch a movie. My room had a gorgeous view. I particularly liked that on the property, there is a little outside kitchen where guests can make and store food in the fridge if you like. Also, there is a lovely balcony area where guests can relax outside amongst the trees. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you very much for a delightful stay...I wish it had been longer. We took the train to Sarlat, so we wanted a place that was in town and close to restaurants, groceries, and other shops, and La Villa des Consuls worked out great. Also, we got excellent references for what to do and how we might spend our time in town.

Everything about this property is wonderful! The owners Valerie and Didier are so attentive and welcoming. The breakfast was fabulous and the selection of produce was local and Valerie even made the jam. The decor was very stylish and in keeping with the property, the bed was huge and very comfortable. I highly Recommend this beautiful property and it is close to town but you have the privacy and feel of an up market farm stay in the French country side.

    The host was WONDERFUL. Very helpful with our parking and bags as well as area information. The apartment was very clean and well stocked. The location was ideal! Right in the town area with all the shops and the many restaurants to choose from. Also just a short drive to the many castles along the Dordogne River. The windows opened up onto a little courtyard that had live music one night. How pleasant!

    Good location if you are travelling by car as there is plenty of free secure parking in the property. We used itas a base to visit Sarlat and it was the ideal thing to do. The room and the bedroom were very clean and comfortable. The lady from the reception desk was extremely friendly and welcoming.
