Very friendly and nice staff, good location by the sea, very close to restaurants and a bus stop, the room was spacious and clean, there are more than enough toilets and bathrooms, everything was very clean and well maintained, the kitchen is very well equipped, the breakfast was good, overall a very pleasant experience. Would recommend.

This is absolutely the best place to stay on Islay. Centrally located, super easy to get everywhere from here. The staff are without exception wonderful, friendly, charming, informative, and just great. Can’t say enough about the complimentary breakfast. It is a really good way to wake up and get ready for a day on the island.

The location is so central to Port Ellen and the ferry terminal. The staff were friendly and polite, and all my emails prior to and during our stay were answered promptly. Our room was upgraded when they saw we were staying for several nights, which was unexpected but very much appreciated. The cafe right next door was very handy for drinks and snacks - the cakes were delicious! Other food offerings in town were within a 5-min walk. Above all, the bay views and gorgeous hills all around gave us beautiful memories of our stay!

Really a great stay. Hosts quite friendly, welcoming and amicable - open to good discussions as they are very present to assist, including during breakfast. Spacious rooms with good amenities. Breakfast was excellent, directly prepared by the host, while entertaining a conversation. The location is great, central on Islay which allows for visiting all places, including landmark distilleries, within a couple of days.

Within 15 minutes’ drive of 4 of the Isle of Islay’s whisky distilleries, Skerrols House has uninterrupted countryside views and is just a 5-minute drive from the coastal village of Bridgend.

The location is very quiet, in the middle of a beautiful landscape. Great for a nice morning walk. Still, within a short drive you can find restaurants, distilleries etc. Thomas is a very friendly and welcoming host. Rooms are great, spacious, newly renovated. Breakfast ist awesome! Try the scrambled eggs any version. Very nice garden to sit with a beer or for kids to play. Will come again any time we’ll have the chance. My whole family was very happy here.
