From the time we arrived to the time we left it felt like home. Mary and Graham are great hosts and can’t do enough for you. Nick and kristof behind the bar are the nicest people. We couldn’t get a taxi one evening and Kristof brought us himself in his car. So nice. The food here is indescribable. It just amazing. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Sue and Andy were wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. If I had to choose one word to describe our stay, it would be 'sanctuary', after a long, wet and windy day on the Dartmoor Way! The room was large, clean, cosy and warm. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. A large range of complimentary teas was provided and Sue even got us a boot tray and clothes horse to dry all our wet clothes on. The breakfast table was beautifully set, with some lovely details such as a bowl of fresh berries. The continental and hot breakfast selection was excellent. We really enjoyed chatting with both Sue and Andy and learning more about the local area. We didn't make use of the communal living area but from a glance into the room it was very inviting. The house was beautifully decorated. The price was amazing value. 11/10!

    Ideal location, well equipped and a peaceful haven. Flowers in every room, lovely furnishings, loads of interesting books and a friendly welcome. Everything we needed had been provided with careful attention. Excellent bathroom with a really good shower. Interesting rooms and all looked exactly as on the website.

    Wonderful central location. Our room overlooked the very pretty courtyard garden which was incredibly peaceful despite being in the centre of town. The room was nicely furnished with very comfortable beds. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was included and was perfectly acceptable. Would highly recommend.
