    The location is excellent and there are places to visit and things to do in all directions. Just off the A69 it is a quiet and convenient location with sufficient parking The hospitality is excellent. The owners very friendly and welcoming and everyone who served us was friendly too. The breakfast is good, with a good choice, and the evening menu varied with a good specials board.

    Very warm welcome. Friendly and helpful staff. Great pub food and the real ale was spot on. The rooms were well equipped, very clean and the beds comfortable.

    Location was excellent, kids had a wondeful stay. The staff were amazing, very helpful and were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Food was good value for money would highly recommend and definitely would be staying again.

    Location ideal for exploring local area. As we were there during xmas period, we did not do too much travelling around. Wanted a place where we could just chill out over this time. Quaint, tiny cottage, just enough for us.

    Fantastic big breakfast with good quality local ingredients. Friendly staff in a tranquil location near to Hadrians Wall. Very good value and rooms were spotless with proper cups, kettle, biscuits and bottled water. Well stocked bar and good food.

    Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was excellent and would be a good base for exploring the surrounding area. Room was very clean, but shower was a little temperamental. Only reason I did not give a 10 was due to the poor Internet connection.
