This is a council run hostel. Its very clean, and the staff are very nice. Everything is pretty informal, and yet it is run very well. Sleeping was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. I booked late, so I had to take the family room, so that was pretty expensive for just me, but it was worth it in the end! I don't regret it at all.

This was such a fantastic place to stay while we were in Shetland for Wool Week. David, our host, was extremely attentive and made sure we were right at home, showing us the place, asking what time was best for breakfast, and ensuring that the other guests (builders) were quiet while we were there. It is about 10 or 15 minutes outside Lerwick and the views were just absolutely stunning.

    Room was spacious and everything was very clean. Staff were very helpful and polite. Location is excellent to access walking trails and the city centre. Best part was the hot breakfast - absolutely excellent and prepared you for a full day of activities.

    The place is lovely, very clean and with an unbeatable location right in the middle of Lerwick. But it is in need of some TLC, and it was a bit impractical that you need to climb up the ladder to have a shower, as the downstairs bathroom only have a tub. We only used the downstairs bedrooms, and the beds there were very good indeed. Kitchen very well equipped. All inn all I can recommend this place.

    Very clean well equipped hostel that did not require us to share our rooms with others. Spacious kitchen and dining room, spotlessly clean all the time. Helpful but unobtrusive staff. Great location in Lerwick fairly close to Tesco and Co Op, close to town centre. Comfortable bunks.
