I had the most wonderful stay with my dog. We arrived in ice and snow and were welcomed by a warm and toasty house. The cottage was cosy, functional and with outstanding views. I would and could have not asked for more - we explored all parts of Lewis and Harris and enjoyed evenings by the fire. It was a perfect base to marvel and discover this stunning corner of the world.

The b&b has one guest room and is run by Olive, the best host ever. She overwhelmed us with her kindness, generosity and care. The guest room is very quiet and absolute clean. We had a wonderful stay! Highly recommended!

Marina was an excellent host. She was warm and kind, and a great cook. The breakfast she served was restaurant quality! The room was so well furnished and elegant, and the whole house had a lovely smell of candles. The breakfast room was also very refined. It was just such a nice stay. Thanks Marina!

We really enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment. It is in a great location, right in the middle of Portree and convenient for exploring Skye. The only slight inconvenience was parking, although we managed to find street parking each day without any bother. We initially had some trouble finding the apartment because when we put in the actual address google maps took us to the wrong place. Follow the GPS link sent from the letting agent first is my advice. Although the address appears different it will take you to the right location. It is just around the corner from Wentworth st. Inside the apartment is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. I really loved the features of the building, which is old, and the decorations and pictures hanging on the walls.

    Very comfortable and beautifully decorated cottage. Exceptionally comfortable bed, cosy and delightful drawing room and snug. Fantastic bright kitchen which was very well equipped and a good place to work at the kitchen table. Beautiful location looking down to water. The host was delightful, helpful and generous and quick to respond to any questions. There is an excellent manual in the cottage which includes local information.

    This is a proper home from home providing everything you could possibly need and more. Really clean, very comfortable beds. ReAlly a property to suit everyone whether a couple like us or all the family. The location could not be better, fantastic views and wildlife. Isobel and Ken were their to greet us and gave a fantastic overview of the house and islands.

    Everything - spotless, comfy, warm, well-equipped, in the most stunning location. A pleasure to wake up to the view, a pleasure to return to each evening, we didn’t want to leave. It was so peaceful to sit outside listening to nothing but birdsong and sheep. Incidentally, the booking.com entry says that there is no parking - however, there is a wide drive and parking area for at least 2 cars.
