We had an impression that the room was a little rough from the photos, but the actual room was large and the facilities, structure and layout were perfect. The design of the room was also well coordinated and tasteful. It was very comfortable and we spent most of our time in the room, only going sightseeing to nearby Wimpole Hall in the afternoon. From the room, I could see the tall trees and horses nearby, and the spacious broad bean field right next to it, and the way the fields rippled as the wind blew through them was something I never got tired of looking at. we were happy to be able to stay in such a location, and in such a comfortable environment. When I lay in bed, I could see the sky through the skylight directly above. The sunset clouds were very impressive. The host was very kind and friendly, and and helped us out in many ways. A very nice and wonderful host!

The location was central to where I needed to be, with plenty of footpaths nearby to get exercise and to explore. Juliette's 2 page information booklet was full of useful local information, including supermarkets, and the pubs nearby for evening meals. The bed rooms are well organised, with cupboard space, hangers, and shelf space, each with a useful desk. Breakfast was truly outstanding and delicious. Juliette was efficient and friendly, and went out of her way to accommodate my awkward dietary needs (dairy free), and generously indulged my appetite for her tasty home granola, marmalade and bread / toast. Perfectly poached eggs and pleasant conversation capped it all off. She also makes (and sells) her own high quality fragrant hand soaps. With their high virgin olive oil content they do a great job of washing your hair too.

It's DIY breakfast in a nice kitchen with more than adequate provisions for a hearty breakfast. We were very happy with this idea of being provided with the means for breakfast but entirely at own schedule.

    Location. It was so quiet, it was so nice to sit outside and listen birds. There was option to grill or make little fire to sit outside. Host was lovely, showed what is what and how things work.

    Kaye (the host) was really nice and welcoming. The breakfast was good; simple but wholesome. The location was lovely. It is close to the flight path but I really didn't notice after a bit. Loved the fire pit! The bed was very comfortable and the room cosy with the heater on. Everything was very well thought out. If you're looking for a five-star hotel, this is not for you, but I had a really great time and would definitely visit again.
