Everything was as described and reviewed. We did have high expectations and they were certainly met. The host was very attentive and kind. The Nagshead nature reserve was within walking distance, nice forest path into the village and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Thank you.

    Deanfield is a lovely place to stay. Peaceful location, close to Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves. Jo, our host was very helpful, she went an extra mile for us. We arrived late evening and she managed to book us in at the local pub for a meal (really nice food and very busy pub). Comfy beds, nice decor throughout and very clean. Tasteful breakfast, beautifully served. We loved staying there. Highly recommended.

    Spotlessly clean, perfect location (we enjoyed walks around the sculpture trail and symonds yat nearby), nice secure garden so we could relax with our Houdini dog. Hosts were also very helpful and kind when I had a hiccup over the booking

    This was our first visit to the Forest of Dean. Hazeldene Cottage was a perfect choice of accommodation. It is bright, very clean, comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The location is lovely and very quiet, especially at night, so we slept very well.     Beautiful cottage in a great location with direct access to the forest and the local village and pubs. Very comfortable, warm and welcoming with nice touches such as early access, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cookies on arrival. Spotlessly clean throughout.     We were visiting family in the village so ideal location. Once we had checked in with Jo we could come and go as we needed which was great. Ground floor bedroom was lovely. Great bathroom! Jo lovely - attentive and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

    A super-comfortable and very clean cottage. Wonderful location - walking and cycling into the forest (6 km to Cannop Cycle Centre on the easy cycle paths). Close to Parkend for shop/post office/cafe - you can even walk or cycle down the disused railway. Having 2 separate ‘bedroom suites’ is ideal. Well equipped and very well thought out. The garden area is lovely to sit out in. Parking for 1 car at the front - and room for 2 more at the back. Excellent WiFi (no mobile signal in the cottage). We will definitely be back.
