The location was excellent, short walking distance to shops and pubs, and a bonus, the Old Golf Course, was a mere 5 minute walk. Our room was very well appointed, with all the modern comforts. Not a thing was out of place. The manager Angus was also instrumental in making our stay a fantastic one. He was so helpful, and assisting us with many things. 🤗👍. Our next trip back to St. Andrew’s will surely be, to stay at the Arran.

Perfect stay for a golf group. Very comfortable, everything you need for lodging. Great location, only 10mins into St Andrews and 20-25mins to the south Fife coast courses. Lovely host and the indoor studio is a total bonus. Highly recommend booking in for dinner at the local tavern. Great food.

We have been to this property before and it’s absolutely picture perfect if you want to visit somebody at the university which we do, our son lives five minutes away, it doesn’t get any better.

What a lovely little hotel with stylish rooms, bar and restaurant. The staff were all amazing. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again and can't recommend it highly enough.

    Fiona & Allan were outstanding hosts. The property is a great alternative to staying in St. Andrews; an easy short 10–15-minute drive. Also, there are two great small distilleries close by. The property was very clean, comfortable, and in a very quiet setting. They provided guidance to a great local pub and called ahead to book table for us for dinner. The breakfast in the morning was from their own farm fresh eggs and was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

    The location, cleanliness and the great breakfasts which Fiona prepared! The morning chats with Alan at breakfast about whisky, and his passion for Scotland will be missed and will ensure that Tarskavaig will be visited by us again!

    What a fantastic B&B & lovely friendly hosts. We had a perfect stay there, the location is stunning with amazing views and just outside the bustle of St Andrews, our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed and breakfast was delicious- one of the best places we stayed on our trip around the highlands!

    This is one of the best bed and breakfast places my wife and I have ever stayed in. Everything was excellent from the location, the room and not least the hosts themselves (Fiona and Allan - two nicer people you could not wish to meet) and Fiona’s breakfasts.
