A stunning place to relax and unwind with such charm and character throughout the property. We loved the layout of the property - being an 'upside down' layout with the sitting room and kitchen upstairs allowing views out onto the beautiful gardens and woodland. Our host, Hilary, who we didn't actually meet - but always quick to respond on the two occasions that I needed to make contact - was very kind and made us feel most welcome. With the woodburner and Christmas tree 🎄 in the sitting room, this made for a very comfortable and cosy stay.

The Stonehouse Hotel was a sight for sore eyes, (a pleasant surprise) after walking 5 1/2 hours on the Costwold Way. We loved the hotel, the grounds and our room. We also found the staff, specifically the young man checking us in (sorry didn't catch his name), a waitress named Asuka, and the bartender Yaughtski. Hopefully we spelled that right. Lol. Yaughtski without a doubt made our stay welcoming and fun.

Convenient location, convenient parking, easy check-in, friendly, helpful staff. Super apartment for 1 or 2 people. Good facilities, it's got everything you need for a short break and more. Comfortable bed and lovely pillows, quirky decor. I didn't get to try the food downstairs but it had a busy, happy atmosphere. Wish I could have stayed longer.

    Great location, lovely big and comfortable room in a large character property. Kate is a very friendly, helpful host and the large kitchen is ideal for the simple breakfast that includes homemade sourdough and granola.

    Great location by the train station and friendly staff who are very helpful. The newly renovated hotel is stylish and nicely presented with everything very clean. Handy to have a public bar/restaurant with access for the guests as well as the public. Good to have a kettle, etc, in the room and the bed was comfortable.

    There was excellent provision for our dog. The room was very clean and well provoded. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed the dinner but it was a little pricey. I was very pleased that there was an electric charger for my car. The location had lovely views with superb local walks.
