    Vanessa was lovely and very friendly. The hotel was in a good location, just a short 15 minute walk to the sea front / 15 minutes to the town centre. The room was very clean, with a mini fridge which was ideal! The room was a pretty decent size for a single room and it was pretty quiet, considering the road nearby. The whole building smelt amazing too, which is always a nice welcome. Would definitely book again

    The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great location, comfy beds, amazing bath. Ideal for a family of 8 and a dog. The host left welcome treats for us (and the dog). Dan the host was always on hand to answer questions and let us check in early on the day. We all had a lovely stay. Would highly recommend ✨

    Breakfasts were excellent in both presentation and quality of cooking. Dining room very clean and fresh flowers a nice touch. Hosts both "front of house" and more "behind the scenes" very amenable and helpful and dealt with our last-minute booking admirably. Good quiet location - no street noise at night.

    We had a very pleasant stay at "A home away from home". The accomodation was very clean & has everything required for a pleasant holiday in Torquay. It's only 10 to 15 minutes walk to the town centre & about the same to the sea front. Local shops & Take-Aways can be found at the bottom of the road in Belgrave Road. The location is ideal for day trips to Paignton, Brixham & Exeter & there are several bus stops nearby for those wishing to leave their car parked on the street.
