The staff were especially lovely, friendly and accommodating. As a female staying alone (for work) I felt fully safe and looked after by every staff member I came across, they couldn’t do enough for me. Had a gorgeous meal for dinner, breakfast was equally lovely. The view from my room was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable.

The property was warm and cozy! Really well decorated throughout .The property provided with everything we would need with an extra basket provided with little bits of different cereal which was a nice touch! Communication was great! Really easy to get in! We was warned about the stairs been steep but we didn't have an issue at all with stairs inside or outside these didn't affect us in any way!

    Cheap and comfortable enough for the price. A cheap stay for the lake district though a hostel would be cheaper and probably a bit nicer. Location is good in the centre of town, but parking is free but timed on street and you need a disc from reception.

    Location ideal, near both bus and train station and close to town centre . Staff all friendly and helpful. Highlight was the excellent breakfast. Self service but English breakfast items were freshly cooked. Also included choice of cereals, yogurt, toast, orange or apple juice, tea or coffee. Great start to the day

    Although in an isolated spot, the location was ideal for exploring the Lake District. The grounds were lovely and tranquil. The breakfast was lovely, although I think they were short staffed on out 3rd morning because everyone had to wait as there was only one man seeing to us all.

    Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order.....fresh fruit salad, plus cereals local produce used ....location is ideal within minutes of all the facilities in Workington town centre, handy for train station. Plus parking readily available. Loads of hot water and soft fluffy white towels, nothing to much trouble for the hosts. Will stay here again.
