Lovely clean comfortable unit. Good shower. Great balcony. Good location, can walk to beach. Parking on site. Host was gorgeous. Couldn't speak english but we managed quite well. Would definitely recommend.

Simple and easy to collect key. All Info provided in plenty of time. The balcony was larger than we expected from the photos. It was lovely to be able to see the sea and there was a fixed shade that meant we could sit out even when it was hot. The AC works really well and the location of the apartment is perfect for the beach. There are restaurants to walk to as well as a bustling town 10 mins away which was stunning.

We had the privilege - by mistake! - of spending one night in a larger apartment to the left of where we should have been, and then transferring to the smaller middle one the next day. Both were lovely, but for the two of us, the middle one was cosier. The mistake was because of L’s poorly translated instructions and also because the key-code appears to work for all three apartments, which is not brilliant, since then anyone staying could get in any of those three ground-floor apartments? There should be a better translated set of instructions now. That aside, we were very impressed by how well-equipped the kitchen was, with lots of useful electrical gadgets including a kettle and a grill, lovely towels and bedding, a great bathroom with a noisy but functioning washing machine, and a huge area for parking which is not always on offer, judging by all the cars parked outside holiday blocks. It is easy to walk down to the beach which is extensive, clean and pleasant, particularly in the evening, although a bit trickier to find the way back again! Easiest would have been to go straight up through the Cavo Grosso site, but that seems to be just for residents. The apartment has good air-conditioning, reasonable although sometimes erratic wi-fi, no ants, and it was easy to get onto the roads to take you in different directions. Our host was very responsive to messages and this made an excellent base for exploring Gytheio, the Mani, Sparta and Mystras, L Monemvassia and the beautiful countryside nearby. The little table and chairs outside our door were a bit exposed but nice to have.

We had a nice bungalow that has a sea view and covered parking.. The property has also got a south entrance which gives you easy access to the beach (walking distance). Next time we travel to Gythio we wouldn't hesitate to stay at CAVO GROSSO Bungalows again.

Having travelled the Peloponnese extensively, I can say with certainty that this place is exceptional. Still at a loss as to why it is only 3 star. The hosts Georgios and Tasso are warm and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Tassos who looks after the cooking didn’t disappoint. We even bought his homemade rose petal liqueur and strawberry jam to enjoy further down the track. If you are looking for something unique, hospitable with great views of the sea, nestled amongst olive trees, then you can’t go past this place.
