Exceptional boutique hotel. This was our second stay and it was even better than the first. After some bereavements in the family, my husband and I were exhausted after a hard year when we arrived, and destressed and refreshed when we left, thank you! Our week in this hotel was precisely what we needed! The staff organised the taxi transfers from the airport, and since it was our 8 year anniversary and they gave us a free bottle of Champagne and chocolate truffles. We didn't expect that, it was a wonderful surprise. We loved our first stay im 2019 so were happy to see that the hotel reopened after Covid19. It's adult only and so, so quiet, and luxurious. Everything about the hotel is comfortable, with excellent food and drink. The breakfast buffet is varied, healthy and so fresh. They had lovely cocktails and Greek beers. On Sunday they had a jazz and blues band with an amazing singer, Mania. Some hotel bands can be a bit naff but this group was actually really good, I would easily pay for a ticket to some blues bar gig to see them. They deserve far better than playing for a hotel audience! For the rest there was no tacky music, which we really appreciated. It is an immensely quiet and relaxing place. The hotel is in Almyrida and close to really good restaurants, and nearby Plaka (1.5km walk). I can recommend Dmitris, Thalami and Lagos Taverna. If you eat in Plaka, go to Taverna Elpis. These were recommended to us by our Greek friends. The hotel is right opposite a quiet and lovely bay with sand and a couple of small boats. In terms of facilities, they have super clean sauna, massage room and changing facilities if you check out before you need to leave for the airport. I also snuck into the library and borrowed two books during my stay. The pool area is super quiet, very relaxing for a couple wanting to de-stress! There is no fighting over pool seats, no issue with putting towels down to reserve a sunbed - it was a civilised and polite experience.

    Location is a bit inland. 40 minutes to the airport. The town is small and cute. A few restaurants and 2 small supermarkets. There is a restaurant under the flat and an Anticristo opposite. Good parking. Beds are very comfortable and the room is spacious with a nice terrace. Brand new feel though slightly unfinished. Excellent bathroom and water pressure.

    Amazing views. Quiet location. Excellent pool and facilities for self catering vacation. AC in every bedroom and in the living room. The owner was really nice and had welcome bottle of wine and raki and some local cookies. Also there is nice cat that lives in the garden which was like our pet.

    Everything was perfect. The location is convenient for visiting Crete and the swimming pool is a nice addition after the whole day of sightseeing. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a nice gift after the check-out. We will definitely consider visiting that place again!

    Very spacious and spotlessly clean apartment in a very quiet location. It was only a 10 minute stroll from the small local town. The hosts live on site and were very friendly and helpful when needed. Great shower. A garage for our car was an unexpected bonus. Loverly private garden and outside areas.

    The property is such a pretty house with excellent facilities- everything is there for a great stay - the house is in a quiet location on the edge of the village with east access to the main highway - we hired a car from Chania airport and the house was east to find - we lived everything about the house - it was clean and well equipped.

    Villa Vardis is a new, modern, clean and comfy house with a wonderful view! It is very quiet and the terrace is beautiful, you can see the ancient town of Vafes, the mountains until the Sea! It is a really relaxing place. The house has all you need for a perfect holiday. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped and spotlessly clean. The best is the host Manouela, who is very kind and reactive. We loved her Moussaka and cake! Efcharisto poli 🤗

    Everything about the property and arrangements exceeed expectations. Great communication before and during our stay. The local contact - Manouela was incredibly welcoming, providing food when we arrived, and also during our stay. Also nice to have water, tea, coffee available when we arrived, so we could refresh before doing some shopping. She was also great in providing local addresses for supermarkets etc. Villa very clean. Could not fault a thing!
