We came here and immediately fell in love with this place! Everybody is exceptionally friendly, the restaurant stuff is super attentive. The lady who runs the place is such a sweetheart and you can tell that the personnel likes working here. The garden is fantastic and so is the setting. Try the free kayaks. Very friendly staff and I believe a family run business. Rooms were more then big enough and consistently had hot water. We were offered a room clean and additionally free access to kayaks. Basketball court was an added bonus and provided plenty to do when not exploring the town. Finally there is 2 very friendly dogs we liked. They do have there own area if you were afraid of them however.

This property is a wonderful oasis on the lake. The pool area is beautiful and the photos on the website do not do it any justice. We loved our room with the view of the volcanos and the balcony. The food was good as were the cocktails. Most of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We loved the boat trip that we did to other villages on the lake shore.

Rebeca is a gem! She is absolutely adorable and very responsive and helpful both on WhatsApp and in real life, and she is very accommodating as well. She let me choose my room among all the ones that were available and allowed me to check out later than expected! The view on San Pedro Volcano from her rooftop is fantastic! Free drinking water is also provided, as well as toiletries and towels, and the kitchen is well equipped, with a fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable, the room had a desk and everything was very clean! The location was also very easy to find, thanks to Rebecca’s instructions. Santiago is my favorite place around lake Atitlan. The view on the volcanoes is incredible, just like the Sunday Market and Rey Tepepul Reserve, where I saw a quetzal, toucans and amazing views on the nearby volcanos. There are also many great cafes, restaurants and shops to visit, so I highly recommend it!

Amazing place with incredible view! Staff is really helpful and accommodating! They were super flexible and moved my booking when I had issues with my flight. Beds are really great, really high quality mattresses and bedsheets. I loved the attention to details in a room, and waking up with a beautiful view is definitely a plus. Service is really high quality as well! The area is really lush and has variety of birds.

Great sized room. Good pool and access to the lake. Loved the Temezcal / sauna. Gardens were pretty. Staff super helpful and friendly. Didn't eat at restaurant as we preferred to eat out in town, but they were happy to bring us drinks by the pool. Liked staying in Santiago - the whole freak street traveller vibe in San Pedro wasn't for us. We liked being in a proper Mayan town, near market, restaurants, bars, but lovely to come back to island of peace at Tiosh Abaj. Read some of the less complimentary reviews - sure there is a slight air of fading grandeur about the place but for the price it was great.

It's a really nice, quiet and laid back place by the lake in San Juan. Great to chill out, do water activities or do trips to the other villages. I got a free upgrade when I arrived - the deluxe familiy rooms are absolutely fantastic. The mix of private rooms and dorms gives a nice mix of different travellers. The staff/owners are beyond friendly, they really try their everything to make you feel comfortable, communication workes really well. It was one of my nicest stays in Guatemala, if I'm ever back in the area I'll definitely stay here again!
