This place is gorgeous. Beautiful room, clean, grounds and pool are lovely. Breakfast was all you could need. Would 100% stay here again. We even arrived late after check in and someone was happy to help us get in still!

Words can not express just how beautiful the bungalows, the view and the location is. It is a slice of heaven as you look out on banana trees, coffee, avocado and listen to the soundtrack of nature. It’s absolutely stunning. The hosts are exceptional and the views of the mountains are beautiful. We had a fantastic time here with a delicious home cooked supper in the local village and a memorable trip to a nearby school. So much beauty. We will return! And a tasty breakfast!

This place is the real deal! It's an amazing place to stay and get a feel for the culture and landscape. The family that owns and runs it are warm and helpful. The setting amongst the rice terraces and up on the hill is stunning. Well worth staying for a few days to soak it all in. The rooms are lovely too and it's much cooler than down in the main town. The breakfasts are great too including fresh berries from the family garden.

This place was perfect for staying before the the Ijen. Located very well. The brackfast was made with ingredients from the garden, it was tasty. Rooms are very comfortable. And our check out time was mooved to 12. Thank you for the great time!

Nio homestay is a great place to stay if you want something authentic and away from the crowd. You stay in a village, everyone is happy to see you and nice with you. The little shop in front of the homestay is great and they are nice. The room is clean, comfy, quiet and there is also a gas cooker if you want to cook something/boil water (shower is cold for info) The host are lovely and you feel good talking with them. They provided us a driver to go to Ijen and it was perfect !

Staying with Ali was like a fairy tale! Ali and his wife are immensely helpful, attentive and reliable. They both have huge warm hearts! He himself is a nature guide as well as an English teacher, and has good contacts in the village. On the first day, we were able to take a romantic boat ride on a small boat at sunset. We sailed past mangroves, into the sea, and with a view of the mountains. A unique trip guided by a local resident. Eco-tourism at its best! A second day we discovered the Alas Purwo nature reserve. We were able to visit the turtle rescue centre. As many as hundreds of turtles. We could release some baby turtles into the sea. The jeep then took us to a unique beach where we were lucky and saw some adult turtles swimming in the sea. We further visited the fishing harbour, mangroves, and some local oyster farmers. The homestay is quietly located on the street. A five-minute walk takes you among the fields. On request, his wife makes delicious food in the noon or evening. We can highly recommend the fish! You can also eat well in the neighbourhood. The room was very clean, and spacious! We stayed here for 4 nights. Ideal as a tourist on tour in Java. Ali also helped us with transportation for example from the airport to his place. A wonderful stop on our holiday. We would highly recommend it to anyone. The best place to stay ever in Ijen. The owner are very helpful, I feel like home when I stayed there. They also can provide nice tour to ijen, not expensive. The owner can speak English very well, you can ask about culture around there.
