After you have done 50/100+ reviews for budget accommodation, it becomes a PITA, and you just enter a score, hit finish, and move on. Occasionally, though, you find a place so good you just have to say something. After weeks of being in places where there was either traffic noise, calls to prayer, roosters crowing, frogs croaking, dogs barking, night insects chirping, etc, Zizi Homey Room 202 was GLORIOUSLY QUIET. Besides the quietness, the accommadation seems brand new. The room was sparkling clean and smelt amazing (automatic air freshener), quality bed linen (loved the bolster), AC, hot water (not always a given in Sumatra) and multi plug/USB wall sockets to mention just a few of many. Also, good communication with host Zizi about check-in/out and restaurants/shops/activities in the area. All in all, a great place to stay at a very reasonable price. Ohhh. Forgot to mention, there is a kitchen on the ground floor which I did not use but assume guests could if they were staying long term??

We had a great stay at Roemah 28. The staff is super friendly, the food at the restaurant is tasty and they have a huge selection of different coffees. It was no problem to leave our stuff at the reception after checkout, so we could enjoy our day in Medan.

We are a family of three who thoroughly enjoyed our stay at AW Home. The unit is not only cozy, but it also offers the convenience of having a mall right downstairs with a connected door, making it easy to access without worrying about rain or hot weather. Reno and Yohan were very responsive, and Yohan went above and beyond by providing us with mineral water after I mentioned that the Transmart had closed, and we had been ordering water daily through Grab delivery. However, they do not provide a hairdryer, so remember to bring your own. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Medan city in the future.
