Lovely stay. Aiden was very accommodating and welcoming. We had a wedding in Adare village and he even offered to give us a lift to the hotel after we checked in. Lovely stay.

What an enormously friendly staff! They were so welcoming, helped us with all questions we had(special thanks for fixing the tv!) and we had the warmest check-in and check-out. In most hotels the check-out is merely a formal goodbye, but in this case the lady was so kind. Lovely breakfast with fresh ingredients. Very large beds, big rooms, impeccably clean. Loved the lounge downstairs for coffee and some chat. Nice neighbourhood with restaurants and shops, perfect location. Great information and guidelines from the hotel. We truly recommend!

Shannon River House is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The setting by the river is simply breathtaking; peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. The house itself is beautifully kept, with every little detail thoughtfully considered to make the stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. It felt like a home away from home, only better! A special mention has to go to the lovely dogs. They completely stole our hearts! They were so friendly and affectionate, making the whole experience even more memorable. Coming back from a day out and being greeted by wagging tails was an absolute highlight. The locality is beautiful, the room looks good and Sheelagh the landlady was so warm and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was very thoughtful and kind. The location was superb once we found out that driving up and down was easy (seeing as the drivers in Ireland are so considerate). However, Sheelagh needs to brush up on her recommendations (sorry Sheelagh, JP Clarkes food was awful).
