This is a perfect hideout if you like rural living, animals and starry skies. The hosts welcome you with open arms and the whole family takes time out of their day to add that much to your stay. The hosts have multiple animals (from very friendly and playful dogs to farm animals) and we got a chance to pet them all. The location is secluded in the middle of the nature, which suited us very well. There is a kitchenette to save you from having to go out to eat. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries beyond what you'd expect.

The host is the most hardworking man I've ever met, very polite, cares about his guests, always comes around to make sure his guests are good, always available, gives you all the information, help and support you need. Very focused, organised, hardworking with a smile on his face. You need anything? He's a call away. Margaret was very welcoming and friendly. She shared her knowledge of the area which was helpful in trying to find our ancestors. The house was spic and span, our beds were comfortable and the showers had plenty of hot water! We had a quick breakfast of breads, toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Hillgrove House met our expectations and we would certainly return.
