The Carrick Gate is just an all round great place. Located on the river right in town. So clean, newly refurbished, comfortable and excellent Continental breakfast with loads of choices. We were the only ones there being winter so it was lovely and quiet. We booked late and had a bit of delay making phone contact for the key, but that was fixed up quickly for us. This was an absolutely amazing stay! The view from our room was simply breathtaking - like a perfect picture. The hosts were so friendly; they truly made us feel at home.     Excellent location, an ideal base for a hiking trip. Property has recently been renovated and it's clear how much investment (in terms of time, energy and money) has gone into it. Room so immaculate, really comfortable and modern. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. And Jess, the host, couldn't have been more helpful. We had a great time and look forward to staying at Carrick Gate again in the future.

    We stayed in this beautiful guesthouse where everything was perfect. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The Breakfast room is very cosy and tastefully furnished with a great variety of breads, danish pastries, fresh fruit, cereals and much more. Great location with alot of things to see and do. A special thanks to our wondeful host Jessica who made our stay very pleasant and provided us with everything we needed.
