the property is half hour from pozallo, it is ideal if your visiting modica ragusa ibla or waiting for going to pozallo ferry early morning or arriving pozallo in the evening. the host IVANA is an amazing person who is caring and takes very careful of any allergies in food. she even made a pastries and special food for us.

Very quiet and peaceful place, easy to find and easy to get around by car. Lovely pool, excellent food, lots of parking, very good AC system, very good water pressure in the large shower. Communication with the host was easy and efficient and we were made to feel very much at home!

The family was very welcoming and helpful. The daughter spoke very good English, which helped overcome our almost non existant Italian.The facilities and rooms were very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with an outdoor bbq if required. The aircon was really cool. There was a lounge with a TV and Netflix. Outside, there was a large private patio with dining tables and an area with swinging chairs sheltered from the sun and overlooking the carrubbo, olive, and fig trees. Very quiet at night. And the local town has several good eating places which don't open until around 7.30 but rapidly fill up when they do. The family has a restaurant and gelateria down at the coast. The ice cream is genuinely wonderful, I have had a lot of Italian ice cream, and this ranks in the top 3. It is a good base to see Modica, Ragusa, and Notto. But we just enjoyed being there for a few days as well.

Unique experience in Sicilia‘s middle of nowhere. Rebuilt monastery, small agriturismo hotel, managed by one of the best host - Domenico - one can imagine, super friendly, funny & great hints for local activities & open to give insights in Sicily history & culture. Completely quiet place, hiking (canyon) nearby & historical sights & towns in acceptable driving distance. Clearly recommended 👍
