Great place for our stay in Matera, it was walking distance to the city center and we could find free parking nearby. The room was big and had everything we needed, comfy bed and good shower. Italian breakfast at the nearby cafe was also very nice. Recommend for sure.

Our room was spacious and well appointed. The owners were very helpful in giving advice about the area. The location is ideal for visiting Matera - a beautiful ancient city although I imagine it might get very crowded in the height of the summer season. Breakfast was excellent.

This is such a nice place to stay in. The location is perfect and only 2 minutes walk from the historical centre of Matera. The rooms were clean and modern, the room and bathroom facilities are with top quality. The bedsheets were crisp, white and lightly starched, giving this luxurious feeling as if you are in a five star hotel.

Such an amazing Cave hotel. the people are friendly. The room was spacious, with high ceilings. the furniture and amenities all on point. the bed and sleep-sofa both were comfortable, while still also looking like a cave <3 The room also comes with 2 giant moisture guards that keep the room nice. they make noise but can be switched off when going to sleep. Be sure to expect some humidity as it is a cave, this is not a negative point to me as it is logical but it appears not everyone was prepared for it haha You order breakfast the day before. It is then delivered to the room in the morning at the time you choose. The selection was good and the food lovely. on a final note, the entire city and also the hotel is surrounded by slopes and stairs. Wear some good shoes and take your time to get your luggage to and from the place you are staying. There is a manned parking garage near the hotel on the Via Vena (Parcheggio Communbale Via Vena) (few min walk) which costs 20 euro's a day. good price!

Firstly we arrived very late after midnight due to being delayed at the car rental at Bari airport.Everything was closed so I rang the contact number and got hold of Erasmus who arrived shortly impeccably attired for early morning,a real life saver!! We were led to our room with a small balcony that offered an amazing view of the old city. The room though smallish was beautifully decorated,great mattress and the bathroom very stylish. Breakfast was traditional Italian style with scrumptious homemade cakes and pastries. It was a wonderful base to explore the old city close to cafes and restaurants . We stayed for two nights and easily could of remained longer. It's the sort of place you say "I'd love to come back to...".
