I appreciated that the separated bath rooms with open air did not require any reservations. The free icecream and mango pudding were also a very pleasant surprise. The decor was very nice and everything was very clean.

The host is very kind. He patiently explained how to use the facilities in the house. He is thoughtful. On extremely hot days, he prepared iced tea and Popsicle for us. Besides, he even gave us some fresh vegetables he grew. The house is fancy with complete facilities, and there’s space to park 2 cars outside.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel , huge lobby, and room, friendly front desk staff who are able to communicate in English assisting us re room reservation issue due to unexpected health issue. Really appreciated. Dinner was the highlight with sashimi, wagu beef, hot pot with lots of seafood, countless little dishes of appetizers and finally the smooth custard.

We had a wonderful stay and felt very much at home—our whole family really enjoyed it. We especially loved being able to enjoy the hot spring right where we were staying; it was such a special experience. The staff were also kind enough to help us book a local dinner that is usually hard to reserve — we truly appreciated it. We hope you continue to maintain this great service. Very beautiful place, room is spacious with hotspring bath in the bathroom, staff is friendly as well. There are 2 big open-air private hotspring baths and a foot-bath on the rooftop, there is a free-flow of beer distributor at the lobby. The ryokan is just right opposite the old town, and within a kilometer walk to restaurants in the main street, it's very convenient, we love it!

    The location was walking distance from a lot of interesting onsen. The host was incredibly kind, be sure to ask him for restaurants and onsen recommendations! The facility itself was homely and very pleasant, quiet too. All of this for a price which is honestly quite cheap. If I visit Beppu again, this is the place I'll return to.
