Gentle walks along the countryside, where the only sound is the breeze rustling through the trees. It’s the kind of place that makes you forget your phone exists. Then there’s the kitchen. It’s small but so well-equipped, it made me feel like I was about to prepare a Michelin-starred meal for my partner and I every night. The accommodation itself is, unsurprisingly, just as perfect—a warm, inviting space that felt less like a place to sleep and more like a place where the universe itself was telling us to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the moment. This place is exactly why travel is worth doing. Everything from the atmosphere to the hospitality from the staff. We had an amazing experience here, and it was by far the highlight for all the time we spent in Kurashiki. The modern and minimalist decoration let you fell calm and comfortable. All the attention to the details, like the welcome drink and snack, will make you feel special. And then the breakfast, that was probably the best we had in Japan! We would love to come back again, as this is a “must to” in the area.

Beautifully furnished. Luke a luxury apartment. Every detail from the choice of ceramic tableware to the tatami flooring made it a very special experience. But for the clumsy person as everything is quite precious, paper screens and pale flooring. The bath and shower are musical and the Japanese toilet a luxurious experience.

Super friendly staff, they left towels out at the entrance when they found out we were arriving after rain. Very well stocked kitchen with all crockery as well as sauses and condements. The house was beautiful and very clean. It's located right next to the old town so it's ideal for exploring Kurashiki. They had a good projector which we used to watch TV.
