I'm sure this place is rocking during the ski season, but as non skiers, we wanted to experience the autumn colours and the crisp mountain air outside the ski season, and it did not disappoint! The red and orange foliage surrounding the property is stunning, the accommodation had everything we needed, and the staff were more than wonderful... making this an absolute highlight of our trip. The peace and quiet of the mountains, the fire and chairs outside under the stars, and being able to cook (I recommend shopping at the big 'Beisia' supermarket in Liyana) was awesome. Can't wait to come back.

The rooms are spacious, good value with everything you need. The heating was more than adequate and the presentation of everything went above expectation. The facilities including onsen were all functioning and top notch. The staff were also very helpful with any inquiries and gave us a shuttle van to the ski lifts where necessary.

Group of Australian friends skiing at Nozawa Onsen, our host was such a great guy, drove us to Nozawa Onsen and back every day and helped out with everything, charming place and the Japenese beds are more comfortable than I thought they would be. Already miss the place!
